Thirty-five sounds, and thirty-three of them are made as they play, one frame at a time. Nothing loops, so there is no seam to hear.
Most sleep apps play you a recording on a loop. Given long enough, you start hearing the seam. Slumbio mostly does not have one.
Thirty-five sounds, and thirty-three of them are made as they play, from noise and filters, one frame at a time. Rain that never falls the same way twice. A fire that crackles when it feels like it. Wind that gusts and settles on its own schedule. Two are pre-rendered files, and they are the only two here that repeat.
Layer up to six of them. Each has a level and two controls that reach into the sound itself, so a light rain becomes a downpour, or a room becomes a bigger room.
BREATHING YOU CAN SEE
A soft body of light sits behind every screen. In a breathing session it is the instruction: the screen fills on the inhale and empties on the exhale, with a tap at each turn and a breath sound under it.
4-7-8, box, coherent, long exhale, the physiological sigh, or numbers you set yourself. The pattern you pick is drawn as a ring before you start, one arc per phase, so you can see its shape before you feel it. Two to fifteen minutes. A session ends at the end of a cycle, never mid-breath.
ONE BUTTON FOR THE WHOLE NIGHT
Wind down chains a breathing session into your mix and then the sleep timer. Press it on the couch and do not touch the phone again.
MORNINGS
A sunrise alarm that climbs out of silence over as much as forty-five minutes instead of stabbing at you. Pick the sound it wakes you with. Set a bedtime and the wind-down can start itself.
YOUR NIGHTS
Every night over twenty minutes is kept, and drawn as a chart with your average marked across it. Free keeps the last week of them; Plus keeps all of it. How long, how often, which mix. It stays on the phone.
ALSO IN HERE
A bedside clock at two percent brightness, with the controls hidden until you touch it. Lock screen, Control Center and headphone controls. A sleep timer with a fade you choose. Thirty short, practical notes on sleep, one each night.
Siri and Shortcuts run all of it: wind down, play a mix by name, start a breathing pattern, set the timer, stop.
A home screen widget and a Control Center button, so wind down is one tap from a screen that is already almost off.
Nights can be written to Apple Health as well, if you want them there. Write only. Slumbio never reads anything back out of Health.
WHAT IS NOT IN HERE
No account. No server. No analytics. No tracking. No ads. No network code of any kind. Nothing you do in Slumbio leaves your phone, because there is nowhere for it to go. It works in airplane mode and it always will.
FREE, AND MEANT TO STAY USABLE
Twelve sounds, two layers, two breathing patterns, the sleep timer, bedside mode, the last week of nights and every note are free forever. Plus adds the rest: all thirty-five sounds, six layers, every pattern, wind-down routines, the sunrise alarm and your whole sleep history.
None of this is medical advice. If sleep has been a problem for weeks, or you have a heart or breathing condition, talk to a doctor.

The screen no longer washes out the words in front of it. The light behind every screen is tone mapped now, so it stays a warm body instead of a white hole, and there is a veil under it wherever a screen puts text.
Breathe draws the pattern you picked as a ring before you start, one arc per phase, so 4-7-8 looks lopsided and box looks square.
Rest draws your last two weeks as a chart with your average marked across it, instead of one line of small print.
A new icon. Siri and Shortcuts for wind down, play, breathe and the timer. A home screen widget and a Control Center button. Nights can go to Apple Health if you want them there.
