Drag a Parquet file onto the window and the rows are there. No import, no server, no setup. Parqsee opens Apache Parquet files the way a text editor opens text: drop one on the window, or double-click it in Finder, and the rows are on screen. No import step, no server, no notebook. WHAT IT DOES • Browse the data. Paginated table with the column types under their names, a row-density and type-display setting, and in-page search. Files with hundreds of columns and tens of millions of rows page smoothly — the reader pushes the offset and limit down to the file and skips whole row groups. • Filter without writing SQL. Build conditions from a column, an operator and a value; the row count follows the filter, and so does an export. • Or write SQL. The Query view runs read-only SQL over the open file, which is registered as the table "t". Results come back in the same grid. • Export what you are looking at. CSV or JSON, all rows, the current page or a range, with the active filter applied. Streamed straight from the file, so exporting a large range does not fill memory. • Keep several files open. Tabs, a folder explorer alongside them, Recent Files, and the tabs from your last session come back where you left them — same page, same filter. • Feels like a Mac app. Native menu bar with real keyboard shortcuts (⌘/ lists them), Reveal in Finder, drag and drop, light and dark, and a full Japanese and English interface that follows your system language. PRIVACY Parqsee never connects to a server of ours. Your files never leave your Mac, nothing is uploaded, and nothing is collected — there is no analytics, no account and no sign-in. The only network traffic the app takes part in is Apple's, when you buy or restore the in-app purchase. The app runs in Apple's App Sandbox and reads only the files and folders you open. FREE, AND A ONE-TIME UNLOCK Parqsee is free and stays usable: the free version keeps up to 3 tabs open at a time, and everything else — paging, filters, search, SQL and export — is unrestricted. One in-app purchase, once, lifts the tab limit for good. No subscription, no trial that runs out. NO PARQUET FILE AT HAND? The Welcome screen opens a bundled sample file, so you can see what the app does before you have data of your own.
