Measure speakers, amps and rooms with one sine sweep. Frequency response, THD, phase and impulse views — honest, gated, datasheet-style curves on your Mac.
SweepLab measures loudspeakers, amplifiers, and rooms — with one sine sweep and none of the clutter.
Pick an output and an input, press Measure. SweepLab plays a logarithmic sweep, records the response, and computes the impulse response by deconvolution — the same Farina method used by professional measurement systems. From that single measurement you get every view that matters:
• FREQUENCY RESPONSE — gated, quasi-anechoic curves like a manufacturer's datasheet, measured in an ordinary room. Fractional-octave smoothing from 1/24 to 1/1, overlay of multiple measurements, auto or fixed scaling, −3 dB reference line.
• HARMONIC DISTORTION — THD and individual harmonics H2–H5 versus frequency, extracted from the same sweep. Ideal for amplifier testing through an audio interface.
• PHASE & GROUP DELAY — referenced to the impulse arrival, so you see the device's behavior, not cable delay.
• TIME DOMAIN — impulse response, step response, and energy decay (ETC). See your room's first reflection and set the measurement gate exactly where it belongs.
HONEST BY DESIGN
A gated measurement is only valid above a frequency limit set by the gate length. SweepLab never hides this: below the limit the curve is drawn dashed and faded, with the boundary marked. A measurement tool should never look more confident than it is.
BUILT FOR REAL SETUPS
• Use one audio interface, or separate output and input devices — SweepLab combines them automatically with clock-drift correction. No trip to Audio MIDI Setup.
• Microphone calibration files (miniDSP UMIK-1 and similar) load directly; the correction curve can be shown on the chart.
• Every measurement stores its impulse response, devices, channels, and level — change gate, smoothing, and calibration after the fact, no re-measuring.
• Hover any chart for exact frequency and level readouts. Export curves as CSV or charts as PNG.
• Native Swift on Apple silicon. Launches instantly, no Java, no runtime.
WHAT YOU NEED
Any Mac audio output and input works — best results come from a USB audio interface with a measurement microphone. For amplifier measurements you need an interface and a suitable attenuator.
TRY BEFORE YOU BUY
All features are free for 14 days. After that, measuring and the response and time views stay free; saving, export, distortion, and phase analysis are unlocked with a single one-time purchase. No subscription.
