Every photo carries more than the picture. Where it was taken. What camera shot it. And, since 2024, a signed claim about whether software generated or edited it — the exact field Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok read before putting an "AI info" label on a post.
Exif Remover shows you all of it, in plain words, and takes it off — without touching the picture itself.
WHAT IT SHOWS
• Location, camera make and model, serial number, and timestamps
• The AI-provenance fields called out separately from the identifying ones
• A real, decoded C2PA Content Credential — who signed it and what actions it claims (edited, generative fill, composited), not just "contains a credential"
• The same report for video: location, creation date, camera, and the software that touched it
WHAT IT REMOVES
• JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC are rewritten at the container level — metadata blocks come out, the compressed picture stays byte-for-byte identical, nothing is decoded or recompressed
• Video (MOV/MP4) metadata is overwritten in place, keeping playback untouched
• A second scan of every cleaned file proves the removal — the app checks its own work rather than asserting it

WHAT IT CAN'T DO
Exif Remover removes metadata, not pixels. An invisible watermark encoded into the image itself, like Google's SynthID, survives and stays readable to whoever put it there — and platforms also run their own classifiers on the picture, separate from any tag. Removing metadata removes one signal, not every signal.
Runs universal on iPhone and iPad.
