Markdown notes, offline

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Your Markdown knowledge, within reach. Read GitHub notebooks offline, search locally, follow linked notes and keep useful passages close on iPhone and iPad. Your Markdown knowledge, within reach. Mementara brings your GitHub repositories to iPhone and iPad for focused, offline reading. Download a selected repository, choose a branch and root folder, and keep your notes available wherever you are. YOUR SECOND BRAIN, READY TO READ Keep your second brain within reach. Read supported Markdown notes from an Obsidian vault stored in a GitHub repository, with offline search, wikilinks and supported note embeds. Mementara is an independent reader and is not affiliated with Obsidian. NO ACCOUNT NEEDED FOR PUBLIC REPOSITORIES Explore the bundled sample or browse and download public GitHub repositories without signing in. Enter a repository URL, owner/repository name or GitHub username to find public repositories. A GitHub account is optional and is required only to access private repositories. READ AND EXPLORE Follow relative links, wikilinks and supported note embeds. Read Markdown, code, tables, math and Mermaid diagrams. Open cached images and PDFs, save bookmarks and return to your reading position. FIND WHAT YOU NEED Search downloaded notes and filenames, then open matching passages in context. Search works offline and does not send your queries to an AI service. YOUR REPOSITORY STAYS YOURS Mementara connects directly to GitHub and never edits your source files or writes changes back. For private repositories, sign in to GitHub and grant read-only access to selected repositories. Credentials stay in device-only Keychain storage. The app includes no advertising or analytics SDK. MADE FOR IPHONE AND IPAD Use the adaptive iPad workspace, adjust reading appearance and text size, protect access with app lock, and share an original document through the system share sheet. The interface supports English, German, French and Spanish. Free to use, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Requires iOS or iPadOS 18 or later. Supports one active repository and one optional GitHub.com account. Download notes and supported attachments before going offline; download coverage shows missing or oversized media. External links require a connection. Editing, GitHub Enterprise Server, Obsidian plugins, Dataview and interactive Canvas are not supported.
