Northern Light Stories are calm, narrated bedtime stories for children aged 4 to 8. Each story is written around one feeling: anger, worry, fear of the dark, missing someone, jealousy, or simply not being able to settle. A gentle voice settles your child in, tells the story slowly, and the story stops by itself. HOW A NIGHT GOES • Pick the story that fits tonight. Read the short intro to your child so they can choose. • The narrator settles your child in, then tells the story slowly, about fifteen minutes. • Add a sleep sound if you like. It keeps going softly for half an hour after the story ends. • Lock the phone and lower the screen. The story plays on and stops at the end. THE STORIES The Bear Who Forgot How to Relax, for trouble falling asleep. The Hippo Who Had a Volcano in His Belly, for anger and tantrums. The Cat Who Collected Thoughts, for worry. The Little Fox Who Was Afraid of the Dark. The Little Duckling and the Thread of Light, for missing someone or living between two homes. The Little Rabbit Who Thought the Light Was Running Out, for jealousy when a new baby arrives. THE METHOD Every story follows the same gentle steps: a safe world, a small animal with a familiar feeling, your child helping, inviting language instead of instructions, a body that slowly settles, and an ending that fades instead of finishing. Your child is never told to calm down. They help someone else, and their own body follows. FOR PARENTS Every story page has a short text to read aloud to your child, and a note for you about what the story helps with and how to use it. Children can keep their eyes open or closed, and falling asleep before the end is exactly right. SLEEP SOUNDS Forest wind, night forest, birdsong and soft music.
