Unbury reads it and tells you who sent it, what it is asking for, when it is due, and what the words mean. Then it lays out a six-mission plan for that letter, ordered so the first step is small enough to do today. WHAT UNBURY DOES • Scan any letter with the camera — IRS notices, collection letters, medical bills, credit card statements. • Read it back in plain English: the sender, the amount, the date, the deadline, and what happens if nothing is done. • Break that letter into six missions, in order, starting with the smallest one. • Do one mission at a time. Unbury keeps the streak and the XP so the progress is visible on a day you cannot feel it. • Look up any word you do not recognize in the glossary — levy, garnishment, validation, statute of limitations. • Recognize the letters that are past the point where an app should be the answer, and show you how to reach a licensed professional. WHAT UNBURY DOES NOT DO • Unbury is not credit repair. It does not dispute, remove or change anything on a credit report. • Unbury does not contact anyone for you. It does not call, write to, negotiate with or pay a creditor, a collector or a tax agency on your behalf. • Unbury does not promise that you will pay less, settle for less, or that any score will move. • Unbury is not legal, tax or financial advice. It explains what a letter says and what the usual next steps are. The decisions stay yours. WHY IT IS BUILT LIKE A GAME Debt mail gets stacked up unopened, and the pile is the problem. The missions, the daily streak and Bury — the small character who climbs out from under the pile as the missions get done — exist so that opening the app is easier than not opening it. When a letter is urgent, the game steps back: the crisis guidance and the letter results are shown plainly, with no points, no confetti and no celebration.
