CBZ Forge examines each page individually. When the original JPEG, PNG, or other compatible image can be extracted directly, it is copied into the CBZ without recompression. No unnecessary quality loss. No guessing. When a page cannot be copied cleanly, CBZ Forge renders or re-encodes it and tells you exactly what happened. PER-PAGE VERDICTS Every page receives a clear result so you can see what was: • Copied unchanged • Re-encoded • Rendered from the source CBZ Forge never describes a changed page as lossless. Lossless where possible. Clear about everything else. BUILT FOR LARGE COMIC LIBRARIES Drop in a folder and CBZ Forge finds supported comics inside, including subfolders. Convert multiple books with live page-by-page progress. Already-converted books are recognized and skipped instead of silently processed again. Click any book to inspect its source, conversion result, and individual page verdicts. COMICINFO.XML METADATA Every finished archive includes standard ComicInfo.xml metadata. If the source already contains ComicInfo.xml, CBZ Forge preserves it byte-for-byte so metadata created by your existing comic-management tools is not rewritten or lost. OPTIONAL ON-DEVICE AI CLEANUP Old scans can be soft, noisy, or heavily compressed. CBZ Forge can optionally clean up pages on-device at their original dimensions or enlarge them to 2× resolution. AI processing is off by default and is never labeled as lossless because the pixels are being changed. Preview the result on a sample page before processing an entire book. PRIVATE AND LOCAL Your comics stay on your Mac. No account. No cloud processing. No analytics. No network access. WHAT CBZ FORGE DOESN’T DO CBZ Forge works with comic files you already have.
