Every level names an order: how many tubes of each color it wants. Orange, green and purple can only be blended — and a blend can never be undone. Plan before you pour. Pour one color onto a DIFFERENT color and the two blend into a new one — permanently. Every one of Chroma Sort's 240 levels is built on that single irreversible rule. THE ORDER IS THE GOAL Every level names an order along the top: how many tubes of each color it wants. Two blue, one orange, one purple. Fill exactly that and the level is won. The goal is not "tidy the rack", it is "fill the order". THREE COLORS MAKE SIX Red, yellow and blue are what you are dealt. Orange, green and purple can only be made: • red + yellow = orange • yellow + blue = green • red + blue = purple A blend is final — a blended color never blends again — so the moment you make one, that tube is committed. Make three greens when the order wanted two and the level can no longer be won. The game says so the moment it happens instead of letting you play on for twenty moves. EVERY LEVEL HAS A SOLUTION, AND IT WAS PROVEN 240 handcrafted levels. Each one was built backwards from a solution the solver found and checked, and its order is read off that same path — so what a level asks for is always reachable. Boards are seeded from the level number: level 88 is the same board on every device. THE RAMP Level 1: five tubes, four units each, one blend to make. Level 240: twelve tubes, six units, three blends and a single spare tube to work in. Space is what you run out of, not colors — a blend eats free space while it happens. SIX STATIONS OF ONE WORKSHOP Mixing Bench, Wash Room, Pigment Cellar, Drying Loft, Night Studio, Conservatory. Each has its own backdrop and its own music, and the map cycles through them every 18 levels. Past 240 an endless tail keeps generating fresh boards. A HINT THAT SAYS WHY Hint does not just point at a pour, it tells you what the pour is for: "this finishes a tube", "you need green — this board cannot be finished without it", "this empties a tube; space is what you keep running out of". Undo takes back the last pour. Reveal makes the suggested move for you. 32 TUBES ON THE BENCH Apothecary glass, a copper-footed flask, a moon vial, an iron cage, a candy jar, cut crystal.
