In 1991, RSA Laboratories published a list of enormous numbers, each the product of two secret primes. Split one back into its two primes and you break the math that RSA encryption relies on. Some fell after years of supercomputer work. Many have never been factored by anyone.
Factoring Quest puts every one of them in your pocket and lets your iPhone or iPad take a real swing.

Factoring Quest lets you feel first-hand why RSA encryption works: multiplying two primes takes microseconds, while splitting the product back apart can take thousands of years of computing time. RSA Laboratories ended the challenge in 2007, so no prize is available.
