Tasks on a swinging ornament

Only for Mac

A little ornament that hangs on your desktop and carries your to-do list. HangLine hangs a small ornament from a thread at the top of your screen. It swings with real physics — drag it, flick it, nudge it, and it settles the way a real object would. It sits quietly at the edge of your desktop and stays out of the way of your work. It also carries your to-do list. Add a task and a gold ring drops onto the thread. Urgent tasks get a platinum ring; overdue ones turn red. Tick "In progress" and the ring glows; tick "Complete" and it shatters like glass. Your open tasks are always in view, with no extra window to manage. WHAT YOU GET • Ornaments: dozens of built-in ornaments in themed packs — classic, cosmic, nature, cozy, seasonal and animated. New ornaments appear in the app without an update. • Your own image: hang a PNG, JPG, SVG or animated GIF — a logo, a photo, a sticker. • 3D objects: hang a .glb file and it turns slowly on the thread. • Tasks: daily tasks with due times and reminders, recurring tasks on the days you choose, and a countdown timer with a rabbit that nibbles a carrot-thread as the minutes pass. • Motion styles: pendulum, elastic bungee, gentle breeze, ding-dong, slow sway and chaotic — all real physics. • Threads: silk, twine, gold chain, steel wire, neon or rose gold, with adjustable length, size, position, wind and gravity. • Sound: each ornament has its own sound when it swings. Everything can be muted. • Menu bar: quick actions for Ding, New task and Start countdown. Open at login if you like. STAYS OUT OF YOUR WAY Clicks pass straight through to whatever is behind it — only the ornament and its rings catch a click. It never takes keyboard focus and never opens a window on its own. It draws one small animation and sleeps when nothing is moving. PRIVACY Tasks, settings and any image you hang stay on your Mac. A free HangLine account is used to sign in and to remember your devices; the ornament library is fetched from HangLine's servers. Nothing else is sent. Details at hanglineapp.com/privacy. Free, with every feature included. No ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases.
