Clearer about your devices: • Removing Pro from a device now warns you beforehand in the cases where it cannot be undone on that device — rather than leaving you to find out afterwards. • Restore Purchases now explains what to try when it finds nothing, instead of only reporting that it found nothing. • The purchase screen is clearer about how many devices each tier covers.

Two more bahrs, and a scansion that reads the way you do: • Two meters added: the doubled متدارک (فاعلن eight times), common in naat, and the 22-matra Hindi bahr. • Matra scansion keeps a closed syllable whole — پہلے is shown as پہ | لے, not پ | ہ | لے. • Noon-e-ghunna: a ن between a long vowel and a consonant no longer takes a weight of its own, so آنچل reads آں-چل. • No invented letters. The tool will not spell your word back with a doubled consonant to make a line fit, and never calls a line in meter on one. • نفس is read both ways — nafas the breath and nafs the self — so «نفسِ امّارہ» scans. بالآخر and بالکل corrected too, and the feet of مقتضب مطوی مقطوع. • Bayaz no longer drops your oldest ghazal in silence when it is full: 100 poems free, 500 with Pro, and the count is in front of you.

Restoring a purchase is more reliable: if Pro did not switch on after buying, open the app or tap Restore purchases and it will. "Kya" used as a question ("kya hai") is now read as one long syllable, so lines using it scan correctly. Clearer guidance when the text you enter is not in Urdu.

Write in Devanagari, and a sharper eye for the rhyme: • Devanagari: write your ghazal in Devanagari and it is checked just the same — the bahr, the scansion, the rhyme. Each line is shown back with the Urdu form it was read as. • Radeef: a ghazal whose matla drops the radeef in its first line used to be read as having no radeef at all. The radeef is now found, and the line that lacks it is named as the fault. • A second matla (husn-e-matla) is recognised wherever it comes. • Zu-l-bahrain: when a poem reads correctly in two different bahrs, it is named, and the other bahr is shown with its feet — one tap scans the poem in it. • Tazmeen: a line borrowed from the classical poets is recognised and attributed, with a check that it sits in your poem’s meter.

Write in a meter, hear it, and share it: • Compose: pick a bahr and the meter fills in as you type, syllable by syllable, showing what the next slot needs. • Hear it: play any line that scans as beats — short and long — with its syllables lighting up in step. • Share as an image: a card of your couplet with its bahr and its weights. • Pro: a qafia finder — words that rhyme with your ghazal and fit the slot. • Pro rewrites are far better: each suggestion changes as little as possible, and every one is checked against the meter first. • Clearer explanations of where a line leaves the meter, word by word. • Fixed: with a blank line between couplets, applying a rewrite could change the wrong line.

A much bigger Learn section, and better help when a line does not scan: • Learn is now a course in four units — syllables, feet, how a string of weights becomes a named bahr, and the craft of ghazal — with exercises marked by the engine itself and a reference of all 48 meters. • New Guide and About sections explain the tool and how to use it. • Words by weight: every word the classical couplets use, grouped by weight, so you can find one that fits the slot. • Pro: ask for rewrites of a line that is out of meter. Every suggestion is checked against the meter before you see it. • Explanations now open with the meanings of the difficult words. • Repair suggestions no longer propose forms that are not Urdu. • Words ending in tanween (نسبتاً) now scan correctly.

Fixes two problems reported after launch: • Pasting a ghazal could collapse the whole poem into a single line, depending on where it was copied from. Every line now separates correctly. • The free daily allowance refused a whole poem when it was longer than the lines remaining. It now checks as far as the allowance goes and tells you what was left.
