This is the week to test the room you avoid. Eerie measures infrasound, EMF and vibration against that room's own baseline — then tells you the ordinary explanation.
Nothing in Eerie is randomised. No word banks, no entity readings, no invented results. It reports what the phone sensors read and nothing more — and it will never tell you a room is haunted.
Set your phone on a table in the room that unsettles you. Eerie spends about 45 seconds learning what that room is normally like, then watches for anything that deviates from it.
WHAT IT MEASURES
• Infrasound — sound below human hearing, with focus on the 17–20 Hz band.
Low-frequency energy in this range is associated with unease, chills and
peripheral visual disturbance.
• Magnetic field — total field strength in microtesla.
• Vibration — movement and structural tremor through the surface it rests on.
• Sound level — logged as numbers only.
IF YOU CAME LOOKING FOR AN EMF DETECTOR
Eerie measures the magnetic field in microtesla, which is what phone-based "EMF" apps actually read. It cannot measure electric fields or radio frequency — no phone can, because no phone has the hardware. Any app claiming otherwise is showing you numbers it invented. A plus point is the field monitor will not be set off by mobile phone signals.
HOW A SESSION WORKS
Every reading is compared against your room's own baseline, not an absolute scale that would mean nothing in a house with underfloor heating and a fridge. When something crosses the threshold, Eerie logs it with a timestamp — and lists the ordinary explanations first: a compressor cycling, wiring in the wall, a passing lorry, the boiler.
If several sensors register at the same moment, that correlation is shown too. Things with a physical cause tend to move more than one needle.
INSTRUMENTS
• Room Scan — the main instrument. Set the phone down, step away, and all four sensors run against the room's own baseline for as long as you leave it.
• Field Meter — a handheld magnetic field reading in microtesla, for walking a space rather than watching one.
• Table Watch — for table-tipping and seance work. Rests on the surface and sounds an alert if it tilts or lifts past a set angle.
WHAT IT WON'T DO
It won't name anything. It won't speak, generate words, or interpret. If you felt something and Eerie shows a clean baseline for the whole session, Eerie has no opinion about what that means. That is the honest answer, and it is the one this app is built to give.
PRIVACY
Audio becomes numbers as it arrives and is discarded. Nothing is recorded, stored, or transmitted. There is no account, no analytics, and no network connection. Your readings never leave the phone — they are not even saved on it.
LIMITATIONS, PLAINLY
iPhone microphones are not calibrated below roughly 20 Hz and their response falls away steeply. Eerie measures relative change against the room's baseline, not absolute sound pressure. It is a comparison instrument, not a laboratory one.

Fixed: if you bought Eerie from the App Store, the app could still ask you to pay a second time inside the app. Eerie now unlocks from your App Store download, and no further purchase is needed.
If you were charged twice, you can ask Apple for a refund of the in-app purchase at reportaproblem.apple.com.
