Sharper search, your widgets set free, and a few things that just work better — all still on your Mac. Search that keeps up with you. Find mail precisely: scope a search with from:, to:, subject: or body:, wrap an exact phrase in "quotes", and narrow with is:unread, has:attachment or a date range (before:/after:/on:). Combine them freely — and save the whole thing as a Smart Folder. Your existing Smart Folders keep working exactly as before. A floating widget bar. Pop your widgets out of the window into their own movable bar — as a vertical column, a horizontal strip, a clustered grid, or a ticker that flips through them one at a time. Keep it above other windows or let it sit like any ordinary window, drag it anywhere, and it remembers its place, size and shape. Click a widget to jump straight to that part of Jmail. It's part of the app, so it closes when Jmail does — and it's available whenever App Lock is off. Colour your widgets. Give any widget a colour from a core palette so your rail reads at a glance. The colour sticks and shows whether the widgets are docked or floating. Little things that add up. Create a new tag right from a message — name it, pick a colour, and it's applied in one step, no detour to Settings. Recipient suggestions are ready the moment you open Jmail, without visiting Contacts first. And you can refresh Insights straight from its widget. Fixes. Search now works properly on Outlook accounts. Verification-code detection no longer picks up stray numbers from marketing mail. Settings panes open on the first click.

A big update — more of what you need surfaced for you, and everything still stays on your Mac. Verification codes, lifted out for you. When a login or 2FA code lands, Jmail pulls it to the top — shown big and centred, with who it's from and one tap to copy. No more digging through the message. It's read entirely on your Mac (nothing is sent anywhere), finds the code even when it's buried in a picture-heavy email, and is never shown while App Lock is on. Insights — your mail, understood on-device. A new dashboard that quietly reads your mail on your Mac and pulls out what's actually going on: parcels and deliveries, upcoming trips, bills due, and events — each on its own tab, from a single scan. Nothing leaves your Mac, and you can switch it off in Settings. The tone ladder — your exact shade. Life isn't black and white: pick your precise background on an eight-step scale from bright white through soft greys to deep black (four lights, four darks), from a slider on the toolbar or in Appearance. Your accent colour carries through every shade — alongside the four character themes. A bigger calendar. Recurring events — repeat daily, weekly, every weekday, monthly or yearly, ending never, on a date, or after a set number of times. And you can now connect an IMAP account's own calendars and contacts (CalDAV/CardDAV) — found automatically, or point Jmail at the server yourself. Also in this release: a Diagnostics pane (local logs you can view and only share if you choose — no telemetry); sending that still works on modern Outlook accounts even when Microsoft has disabled classic sending; a Messages widget for your unread Beeper chats; the Private Vault gains in-app Microsoft sign-in and a full mail client; and the calendar now loads instantly and stays put. All on your Mac.

A big update — two new features, and everything still stays on your Mac. Mailbox Optimiser — tame a swamped mailbox. See what's really filling a folder as a visual map: every sender sized by how much they've sent you, shaded to flag the likely noise — newsletters, no-reply, notifications. Look inside any sender before you act, then clear the clutter safely to Trash (recoverable — nothing is ever permanently deleted for you). Keep the mail that matters for instant browsing and full-text search that works even offline, and reclaim disk space when you're done. Widgets — make Jmail yours. A new panel down the right adds small, glanceable widgets beside your mail: unread by account, your next events, today's tasks, mail to reply to, a world clock, a focus timer, a quick note that drops onto your Post-It board, a countdown, and more — fourteen in all. Add, remove and reorder them to taste. Also in this update: • Faster calendar — moving between weeks and months is now instant. • A handful of smaller fixes and refinements. No account or sign-up, no ads, no tracking. Your mail stays on your Mac.

- Fixes an occasional freeze (spinning beach ball) when returning to Jmail after your Mac sleeps, or when switching apps quickly — Jmail stays responsive now. - Fixes a case where sending a message could leave a stray copy behind in your Drafts folder. - The Drafts list now updates immediately after you send, instead of only when you revisit it.

Your contacts become a personal CRM. Jmail sorts the real people from the noise, so you keep only who matters — with a "Person picture" that shows how often you're in touch and where things stand, assembled on your Mac from mail you already have. Add private notes and remembered facts about a person, encrypted and kept on your device. Turn on the optional, on-device AI and it goes further: it suggests facts worth keeping, sums up what the two of you actually talk about, surfaces the open loops between you, and gives you a one-tap brief before a meeting or reply. When you write, it can quietly draw on what you know about that person — never parroting your notes back. And if you bring your own AI key, you can now see exactly what you've spent this month and set a monthly cap — past it, Jmail falls back to the free on-device engine, so there's no surprise bill. This update also hardens App Lock: while Jmail is locked, the toolbar (including Settings) and the window title are now fully hidden, so nothing shows or is reachable at the lock screen.

Fixes a performance bug that could cause Jmail to freeze (spinning beach ball) while writing or editing a draft that contained an attachment or an inline image. Draft autosave is now fast regardless of attachment size.

Privacy and polish, top to bottom. • Read your mail without being watched. Jmail now blocks remote images, fonts and hidden tracking pixels by default, so a sender can't tell when — or where — you opened their email. One tap loads the full message whenever you want it. This protects your Private Vault too. • A tighter App Lock. While Jmail is locked, nothing slips past it: an open draft, the Private Vault and every menu action stay sealed until you unlock, and new‑mail alerts no longer reveal who's writing. Changing your lock settings now asks for your passphrase first. • Save and open images the easy way. Right‑click any image in a message to save it or open it in Preview. • Clearer Settings.
