Tupos MPE FM is a polyphonic FM synthesizer, built for people who play rather than program. Two, four or six operators, a routing matrix when a sound needs one, and every note carrying its own pitch, pressure and slide - so a chord moves one voice at a time instead of all six at once.
Bring the keyboard you already have. An MPE controller, an aftertouch keyboard, or a plain USB one: pick the matching profile and you are playing in one tap. How much of that expression you can reach depends on what your controller sends.
PLAY WITH YOUR HANDS
Velocity, aftertouch, mod wheel, expression, slide, swell and an LFO can each move almost any control. You assign one by tapping the badge on the knob you want it to move - there is no modulation page to learn first. MIDI learn binds any hardware knob to any parameter.
REAL MPE, NOT A CHANNEL TRICK
Lower zone, upper zone or both, with member channel counts, per-note bend range and the slide CC all under your control. Ready-made controller profiles, including one for MIDI guitar, get you playing in one tap, and every setting explains itself in plain language.
THREE ENGINES IN ONE INSTRUMENT
Two operators for clean, classic tones. Four for the full range of the instrument. Six when a sound needs the depth, with a routing matrix for connections the fixed algorithms cannot make.
FACTORY SOUNDS
Keys, bass, bells, brass, mallets, organ, leads, pads, percussion, plucked, digital and sequences. Modify and save your own alongside them, rate them, and find them again by category.
ARPEGGIATOR AND EFFECTS
A simple step arpeggiator with per-step note, octave, velocity and length. Eight effect slots you fill yourself, each with its own controls and its own modulation.
STANDALONE AND AUv3
Play it on its own, or load it as an AUv3 instrument in GarageBand, Logic and other hosts that support it, with multiple instances, host automation and state saved into your session.
