Discover MAS through Home, Events, Sky, Community and Profile. Explore astronomy, browse society gatherings and connect with Manipur's sky community.
A shared sky. A world of wonder.
MAS brings the Manipur Astronomical Society into your pocket. Explore astronomy through five simple spaces: Home, Events, Sky, Community and Profile.
HOME: A LITTLE DISCOVERY EVERY DAY
Start with the society's daily astronomy digest, featured space imagery and quick access to the sky, events and community. Find out what is happening and explore something that catches your curiosity.
EVENTS: GATHER UNDER A SHARED SKY
Browse MAS talks, workshops and stargazing gatherings. Check event details and see upcoming, ongoing and past events clearly. Register when registration is available and add supported events to your calendar.
SKY: GET TO KNOW THE NIGHT
Explore Moon phases, planet and star information, sky conditions and the International Space Station. Allow location access to personalise supported sky tools, or use the Imphal fallback. Forecasts and observing estimates depend on location, weather and data availability.
COMMUNITY: LEARN AND CONNECT
Browse astronomy learning resources and observing activities, including a Sky Calendar of real conjunctions, occultations, meteor showers and eclipses, a Telescope Helper for what to look at tonight, and a map of Manipur's best dark-sky stargazing spots. Discover Nobel Laureates and the discoveries behind their prizes, Scientist Stories told through their hardest moments, and Manipur Scientists researching across every field. Share your own astrophotography and join monthly observing challenges. Approved, verified members can access protected community features, including discussions and an observing journal. Public learning resources are available without a member account.
PROFILE: YOUR MEMBER SPACE
Sign in to your MAS account and access your membership information and account settings. Member sign-up is available only to email addresses associated with approved MAS membership applications. Email verification is required for protected community access. Membership approval is managed by the Manipur Astronomical Society.
An internet connection is needed for live forecasts, events and account services. Available content changes with the society's programme and external data sources.
