Lakewood has grown! This update brings new places to build, more control over your city, and improvements throughout the game. NEW PLACES AND BUSINESSES • Explore a northwest desert with sand dunes, a detailed oasis, cactus scenery and two wandering camels. Sand is buildable; the oasis stays protected. • Build the Desert Main with a winding access road and water main. Your own connected road and pipes can also complete it. Completed Farm and Desert Mains leave the build menu. • Add an Alpine Gondola with mountain stations, opposing moving cabins, rotating wheels, support towers, a snowy summit, skiers, snowboarders and a café terrace. An access road connects the base to town. • More neighborhood businesses, including restaurants and EV charging stations, with more businesses at the start and balanced growth alongside housing. • Choose sites for the waterpark, hotel, solar panels, shopping mall, server farm, airport, hospital, university, stadium and casino. Reserved sites protect the desert Burj Khalifa and mountain gondola. ROADS, WATER AND FIRE PROTECTION • Draw roads more freely, with better curves, junctions and route planning. Once your town becomes a city, road suggestions give way to drawing roads and demolishing only the sections you trace, at a fraction of construction cost. • Improved road rebuilding beside existing homes, cul-de-sac removal, pipe cleanup and water-service restoration. Fixed the graphics-recovery interruption during restored-road construction. • Place hydrants yourself on suitable land. Better coverage for large buildings and gondola frontage, clearer interrupted-supply warnings, and revenue only from supplied hydrants. • Better reservoir guidance, including locating customers outside reservoir reach; clearer connection and capacity indicators. Multi-family upgrades require additional capacity. • Improved large-city development and placement checks around rivers, bridges, mountains and buildings. Older saves remove invalid building placements and allow affected landmarks to be bought again. CUSTOMERS AND FINANCES • Some customers fall past due, stop generating revenue and display a pulsing PAST DUE label. Disconnect them for a fee, using a loan if needed; they later pay to reconnect automatically. Clearer disconnected cards and markers, with upgrades unavailable until payment resumes. • Less frequent, staggered nonpayment events. • Early loan repayment waives remaining scheduled interest. Clearer payoff savings, more reliable loan screens and corrected customer milestone rewards. • Flood recovery relief, a one-time lead-pipe lawsuit for wealthy cities, road-growth reminders and revised development pacing. Challenging difficulty is now Hard. DISASTERS AND PRESENTATION • More detailed flames, animated firefighting crews, hoses, water jets, flashing engine lights and sirens. Improved fire-engine size, road alignment, turning and response timing. • Faster, smoother map movement to fires, dam breaks, earthquake damage and droughts; open cards close so you can see the event. • Drought refill countdowns, improved flood recovery notifications and lake behavior, and better burned-building demolition and farm rebuilding. The Golden Gate Bridge cannot catch fire. • Better iPhone notch and landscape layouts, compact hydrant cards, wider scrollable windows and fully visible navigation. Additional late-game zoom-out levels. RELIABILITY AND OPTIONAL EXTRAS • Improved saved-game loading, pause/resume, background saving, launch-screen transitions and audio behavior. Purchase sheets no longer trigger the splash screen. • Lower redraw and calculation overhead, smoother scrolling in large cities, stronger graphics recovery, and a smaller app download through optimized media. • Optional Game Center leaderboards and Water Droplet purchases, while keeping offline play and account-free gameplay available.
