Cut the cat, the dog or the baby out of a photo to send as a chat sticker, or make it a wallpaper or a widget. Live Photos come out animated. No sign-up, no per-use fee.
Snipmoji is a small tool for making chat stickers. Pick a photo, cut out the cat, the dog, the baby — or whatever else is in it — add some motion, and save it as a sticker you can send straight into a chat. Finished stickers can also become wallpapers and Home Screen widgets.
Cutting out
Works with ordinary photos, Live Photos and short videos. When a photo has several subjects, pick them one at a time and make the one you want.
Stickers that move
Live Photos and videos come out animated, and they still move once they land in a chat. Drop the blurry frames, set the speed. Still photos can move too: the border marches, jitters, breathes, or slowly cycles through colours.
Borders and effects
Four borders — solid, dashed, chalk and neon — with thickness and colour you can adjust. Scatter burst lines, sparkles or stars around the sticker, on animated and still ones alike.
Doodles and text
Pencil, marker and glow pen, plus heart, star, note and sparkle pattern brushes. Nine fonts for text, including faces made specifically for Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
Colour
Six filters, plus brightness, contrast and exposure on their own dials. They only touch the subject, so borders and doodles keep their colour.
Sending
WeChat gets a proper emoticon message; LINE, QQ and everything else go through the share sheet. You can also save to Photos or copy. A cutout from iPhone's own tool arrives in WeChat on a white box, and a Live Photo sticker stops moving — Snipmoji exports a transparent GIF, so neither happens.
Your library
Everything you make is kept, grouped by date, and you can add your own tags. The original cutout stays on file, so borders, doodles, text and filters can be changed as often as you like without cutting again.
Wallpapers
Pick a pattern, put your stickers on it, and save a Lock Screen and Home Screen pair. Fifteen patterns, with colours, density and tiling you can adjust. Place the stickers yourself or arrange them in one tap.
Home Screen widgets
Four kinds: a pet you can pat, a carousel that changes on a timer or with a tap, a day count for the days you've spent together, and a collage you arrange yourself. The background can be a plain colour, a wallpaper pattern or a photo from your library.
