WingArtist is a drawing and painting studio built for iPad and Apple Pencil.
Start with a blank canvas and two complete brush libraries. Modern gives you 180 expressive, textured brushes across 18 categories. Atelier studies traditional media from the real thing — graphite, ink, watercolour, oil, chalk, charcoal and pastel, scanned from paper and canvas. Every brush opens in the Brush Studio, where shape, grain, pressure response, taper, jitter and wet mix are yours to change. Bring your own Procreate brushes too: .brush and .brushset files import directly.
AI IMPROVE
Select any part of a sketch and let it be finished for you. Ask for polished line art, realistic shading, a watercolour treatment, or describe what you want in your own words. The result arrives on its own layer, so nothing is overwritten and one tap undoes it. Ten generations are included free. WingArtist Pro removes the limit, or unlock Bring Your Own Key and generate on your own OpenAI account.
PAINT AND COMPOSE
Layers with groups, alpha lock, clipping and every blend mode you expect. Selections by rectangle, ellipse, freehand or automatic. Transform with warp and distort. Text layers with full typographic control. Adjustments including curves, gradient map, liquify and clone.
DRAW FROM REFERENCE
Pose a 3D mannequin — figure or skull — and rotate it to any angle you need, then draw over it. Import your own models, paint their textures directly in the app, and export as USDZ.
ANIMATE
Frame-by-frame animation with onion skinning and adjustable frame rate. Every painting session records a time-lapse you can replay and export.
EXPORT
PNG, transparent PNG, JPEG, TIFF, PDF, layered PDF, PNG sequence, animated GIF, APNG, MP4 and HEVC.
BUILT FOR APPLE PENCIL
A pressure curve you can shape yourself, per-brush and global stabilisation, and a brush cursor that tracks the tip as it hovers.
