PocketHomeCam turns an old or spare phone into a home security camera you can watch from your other phone - no new hardware to buy. Check on your baby, your pets or your front door from anywhere with one account.
■ What you can do
• Live view: watch the video from the camera phone. Video only; the app does not use the microphone.
• Remote control: switch front/back camera, flashlight, zoom, person and vehicle detection, record on the camera phone.
• Cloud recording (Pro): only recordings started by the viewer are encrypted and kept on our server for 30 days; play, delete or save them to your phone in the app.
• Share links (Pro): show a camera to family with a link that lasts one hour. It only opens with the six-digit code shown alongside it, and you can revoke it at any time.
• Several cameras: choose from the phones currently running as cameras.
• Recording notice signs: make a sign for a shop or office in the app and print or share it.
• Available in English, Korean and Japanese.
■ Pricing
Watching on the same Wi-Fi as the camera phone (or its hotspot) is free and needs no sign-in. Watching from a different network, such as another Wi-Fi or mobile data, needs a Cam Pro subscription (monthly, auto-renewing; the price in your currency is shown in the app before you buy). The higher GCS Pro tier unlocks Pro features in all three Pocket apps, including PocketGCS. Subscriptions are tied to your account, not to a device. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.
■ Please note
• The camera phone always shows that it is filming, even when its screen is dimmed. Do not film people without their knowledge.
• The first time you turn a camera on, you confirm where it must not be placed.
• It is meant mainly for private use in your own home. If other people pass through the area, such as a shop, put up a recording notice sign.
• Do not film other people's homes, bathrooms or other private spaces, your neighbours, or public roads.
• This app is not a medical device and does not guarantee the safety of a baby or anyone else. It does not replace checking in person.
