Battle for Strait of Hummus

Bill both sides of the war

Free

Strait of Hummus is a free naval tower defense game with a twist you won't find anywhere else: peace is for sale, and it arms the other side. The world's condiment supply moves through one narrow strait, and you hold the defense contract. OLEO Holdings — a margarine conglomerate with a navy — disagrees. Escort a convoy of tankers through fifteen waves of naval, air, and undersea attacks, then decide whether the ceasefire on the table is worth what it pays the other fleet. THE CONVOY NEVER STOPS MOVING Most tower defense asks you to protect a base. Here you protect a shipment in transit — tankers always moving, always one bad wave from the bottom of the strait. You build across a channel that never widens on demand. SIXTEEN WEAPONS, SIX DOMAINS Gun batteries, autocannons, missile racks and mortars on the shore. Flak, close-in defense and homing interceptors overhead. Torpedo tubes and depth charges below the waterline. Escort cutters and a full carrier group on open water. Radar, sonar and decoys for the works you can't see. Nothing on the list does everything — an anti-ship gun can't touch aircraft, and that's the point. Every weapon upgrades three levels, then forks into one of two permanent specializations. EVERY CEASEFIRE PAYS TWICE Between waves, the enemy radios in a truce offer — real cash, paid immediately, for standing down. Accept it and OLEO banks the same disclosed amount you do, because a company selling margarine to two navies at once was never going to stop at one invoice. The card tells you exactly how many hulls your signature buys them, before you sign. Decline, and nobody is paid. There's no correct answer — the game keeps score on both instincts. KNOW WHAT'S COMING An enemy that fights back: fast attack craft, gun-armed boats, missile corvettes, kamikaze drone-boats, bombers that target your towers, recon drones, submarines that surface to fire, and artillery dug into the hostile coast. Telegraphed flank raids, an impact reticle on every arcing shell, repair crews you can watch working, and a rearmament barge you can watch working too. THEN THE ROLLING CONTRACT Clear the campaign and it never ends — the same strait, endless, with a Contract Amendment every fifth wave that pairs one benefit with one cost. Every run ends with an itemized Final Invoice, billed out in-character, and a Loss Adjustment Report telling you where it actually went wrong. FREE. NO ADS. NOTHING TO BUY. The full fifteen-wave campaign and the endless Rolling Contract are completely free. No ads, no timers, no currency, no paywall. No accounts, and the app collects no data — it runs entirely on your device. Deadpan commentary from Commander de Gouda and the OLEO spokesvoice (toggleable, captioned). No margarine was harmed in the making of this game. Much of it was deployed.
