Drive Spacer: Disk Analyzer
Clean storage, find duplicates
Only for Mac
Free · In‑App Purchases
Mac
Your disk is full and macOS will not say why. Drive Spacer measures every folder, names what is safe to remove, and shows you the whole list before anything moves.
Drive Spacer shows you where your disk went, and lets you decide what to do about it.
Most of what fills a Mac is invisible: caches that rebuild themselves, build output from
projects you finished months ago, offline copies of web apps, and the support files
that applications leave behind when you drag them to the Trash. Finder will not show you
any of it in a way you can act on.
LOOKING IS FREE, AND STAYS FREE
Every measurement in Drive Spacer is free, with no cap, no trial, and no time limit:
• A disk map you can turn — every cell is eight gigabytes of your actual disk
• A treemap where the biggest rectangle is genuinely the biggest folder
• Categories that sort files by what they are, not where they happen to sit
• Duplicates matched by file contents, so renamed copies still count
• Applications, sized with everything they left behind
• Trends across scans, showing what was measured on the days it was measured
Pro is a subscription, weekly or yearly, and it is only for moving files. Let it lapse
and the free product keeps working exactly as it did.
IT TELLS YOU WHAT IT COULD NOT READ
A scan that quietly skips folders produces a total that is wrong, and most tools do not
mention it. Drive Spacer counts what it can reach and says plainly what it could not, so
the number you are looking at is a number you can trust.
EVERY LINE SAYS WHAT IT DOES
Nothing is called "junk" without saying why. Each item on the cleanup list explains what
it is, whether it comes back on its own, and what stops working without it. Nothing is
ticked until you tick it.
YOU DECIDE WHAT REMOVING MEANS
Two buttons, and the difference between them is the only one that matters: one can be
undone and one cannot.
Hold for 30 days is the default. Files move to a hold you can reverse at any point, and
Drive Spacer keeps a receipt of exactly what went. Space comes back when the hold
expires or when you empty it yourself — not the instant you press the button.
Erase permanently does what it says. It takes a second press that names how many files
are about to go, and after that nothing can bring them back — not Drive Spacer, not
Finder, not the Trash.
NO ACCOUNT, NO ANALYTICS
There is no sign-in, no telemetry and no profile. Drive Spacer makes no network call
while it scans. The one network feature is a Wi-Fi speed test you have to press, which
asks before its first run.
WHAT THIS VERSION CAN REACH
This is the Mac App Store version, so it is sandboxed: it measures the folders you allow
it to, and your home folder covers most of what fills a disk. macOS does not let App
Store applications read a whole disk, whatever permissions are granted. The screen says
so rather than quietly returning a smaller number.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Pro is now weekly or yearly, rather than one purchase — and everything that
was free stays free.
NEW
• Both plans on one screen. Weekly and yearly sit side by side, and the yearly
price is also shown by the week, next to the amount you are actually billed
— so the two can be compared in the same unit instead of in your head.
• What Pro does, beside what it costs. Reviewed cleanup, duplicate clearing,
the choice between holding a file and reclaiming its space, storage alerts
and where the space went, each with a line saying what it means.
• A new application icon.
IMPROVED
• The button at the foot of Cleanup now reads "Clean up…" and opens the
review. It used to say "Hold for 30 days", which named one of the two
outcomes before the review had offered you the choice between holding a file
and deleting it.
• Restore Purchases, Manage Subscription, the Terms of Use and the Privacy
Policy sit together under the price, so nothing about the purchase is
somewhere else.
• Scanning, the disk map, duplicate finding, trends and storage alerts are
free and stay free. Putting back a file you are holding is free too, whether
or not a subscription is running.
FIXED
• A crash that could happen at launch on a Mac with older scan history on it.
