I have a feeling that this app is very powerful. I haven’t seen anything that requires incredibly complex code, so it’s, in theory, a very simple and beginner friendly source. Even with no personalization, the ui makes it feel like a real visual novel. The only problem is that the little “?” marks automatically try to send me to the webpage. The problem? I have parental controls. I can’t just go waltzing in to any old site. And even if I could, why is it necessary for me to be site hopping for a TUTORIAL HOW TO USE AN APP. Please, because I can’t even choose avatar icons for my characters, I can’t figure out why my title screen in the preview doesn’t show up on the game title even though I save the preview, I can’t even find out how to edit UI hex codes!! I feel that a tutorial in-app is a very necessary feature! I’m not sure if the devs have just not yet fully optimized mobile layout, as it was just added, but I feel like many action buttons are simply not there? Whenever I click to add an avatar image, clicking on one of my pictures from my list of sprites doesn’t do anything but show descriptions. Otherwise, I’ve been trying to just focus on writing. I will say the preview option is nice, it makes it easier to grammar check, and the sprite uploading and integration is really smooth. Audio importation was also really smooth. I’ve been hoping for a good mobile visual novel maker, and I have high hopes RouteVN might be what I’ve been looking for. Just, once I learn how to use it.
