Every cat needs a can of food and a little personal space. Paws & Cans is a cat-themed logic puzzle where you follow number clues, find the right spots for the cats, and pair each one with its own can. The cans are already waiting on the grid. Your job is to place the cats so that every pair fits and no two cats get too close. A few simple rules create plenty of possibilities to work through. How to play: - Place cats in empty squares. The cans stay where they are. - Pair each cat with a can directly above, below, to the left, or to the right. Each cat and each can must belong to exactly one pair. - Keep cats apart. They cannot touch horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. - Match the number of cats in each marked row and column to the clues along the edge. A cat can sit beside more than one can, but it only pairs with one. Every can needs its own cat, so consider how each placement affects the rest of the board. Start with what you know. A row marked zero has no cats. A cat rules out the spaces immediately around it. As you connect the clues, the possibilities narrow and the next move comes into focus. Enjoy the satisfaction of finding a position that fits, spotting a useful clue, and working through the grid one deduction at a time. Every cat you place brings you closer to a board where all the numbers and pairs line up.
