GLP Companion logs your GLP-1 doses and effects, and estimates how much medication is in your body.
I'm Karl. I take a GLP-1 medication myself, and I built GLP Companion because I wanted something simple for tracking my medication and my progress. I wanted other people on these medications to have it too.
The curve
Home draws your dose history as an estimate of the medication in your body, in milligrams or as a percentage of the steady-state peak for the schedule you're on. The estimate is arithmetic on published population averages for your medication, not a measurement of your body.
Doses
Choose a built-in medication or set up your own, then enter each dose in milligrams, or in syringe units with your vial's concentration. Tablets are logged in milligrams, and an injection can carry a site, picked from a list or on a body map.
Effects
Log side effects and positive effects, each with a severity and a note. They appear as a colored mark under the curve on the day they happened.
History
History lists every dose and effect by week, in the terms you entered it, such as "17 units · 15 mg/mL" or "25 mg tablet". Tap an entry to edit it, or select several to delete them.
Insights
Insights opens on This week, a summary of the last seven days, then four screens of cards (Medication, Effects, Body and Activity) over any range you pick. Each card counts your own entries, like how long you were on each dose level, and makes no claim about cause.
Progress and photos
Progress keeps measurements such as weight, waist or body fat, or one you name yourself, as dated figures and a chart. Photos stay in the app, never in your photo library, with location data removed and Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode in front of them.
Apple Health
With your permission, Progress reads weight, body fat, waist and lean body mass from Apple Health, and the daily totals Health keeps for nutrition, activity and sleep. Every type has its own switch, and the app reads from Health but never writes to it.
Widgets
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show the current estimate and how long ago your last dose was. The medication's name appears on them only if you turn it on.
Shortcuts and Siri
Siri, the Shortcuts app and the Action button can log a dose or an effect, and tell you the current estimate and when your last dose was. On iOS 18 and later, a New dose control opens the dose sheet from Control Center or the Lock Screen.
Supply
Settings › Supply records the vial, pen or pack you're using and subtracts the doses logged since you opened it from what the label says. It works only from your log, so it can't see priming, overfill or a dose that wasn't logged.
Export
Export your log as JSON or CSV, or a PDF of what the app shows for any range, and share it wherever you choose.
Sync and privacy
There's no account, no ads and no analytics, and your data never reaches a server of ours. iCloud sync is off until you turn it on; then your records go to your own private iCloud database, end-to-end encrypted, with photos on a separate switch.
Free and Plus
Home and its widgets, dose and effect logging, reminders, History, Supply, Shortcuts, export and This week in Insights are free and stay free. GLP Companion Plus adds the rest of Insights, all of Progress (measurements, Apple Health and photos) and iCloud sync, monthly or yearly with a 14-day free trial; if it lapses, everything you logged stays readable.
GLP Companion is a log and a calculator. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat anything, and it never tells you what dose to take, when to take it, or whether something you felt matters. Follow your prescriber's directions, and ask them or your pharmacist about anything that concerns you. Not intended for anyone under 18.

• Goals, in Settings. Set your own numbers for weight, waist, calories, protein (grams a day, or per kilogram or pound of body weight), fiber, water, steps, active energy, exercise and sleep. Each goal is drawn as a labeled line on that measurement's charts. A weight or waist goal outside the chart's range is named under the chart instead. The app never suggests a goal or measures your log against it. Part of GLP Companion Plus.
• With iCloud sync on, your goals sync to your other devices with the rest of your records.
• Export data includes your goals in the JSON file when the switch for their type is on. Delete all data deletes them too and lists them with the rest.
• Fix: in the PDF report, each dose's dot now sits on the estimated curve. Over longer ranges the curve could pass above it.
