Deflecting charges the Pulse Shield. Spend it as a Pulse -- the only thing that breaks armour-plated threats. A Pulse Core holds the bottom of the screen. Everything else is falling towards it. Drag the Pulse Shield anywhere on screen to deflect what comes down. Hold still for three seconds and the run ends, so ZUPI is a game about continuous movement rather than tapping. THE PULSE Deflecting charges the shield. Release that charge as a Pulse: a shockwave that clears the field, and the only thing that breaks armour-plated threats, which pass straight through an ordinary deflection. From level two onward, knowing when to spend it is the game. WHAT YOU FACE - Armour-plated threats only the Pulse can break - Weaving threats that refuse to fall straight - Trackers that steer toward the Pulse Core - Splitters that break in two when you deflect them - Heavy threats that shrug off a glancing hit - Wardens every fifth level, three-phase bosses every tenth - Guard bands that close part of the field and force a new defensive line 600 levels across six worlds, generated from a difficulty model so every level is a fixed, repeatable challenge with a start and an end, not an endless run.
