Twelve of the twenty-four cards are trumps, one player takes on the other two every round, and the first to twelve penalty marks is the goat.
That is the part that surprises everyone: every club is a trump, every Jack is a trump, every Queen is a trump. They are one suit for the purpose of following — the Queen of diamonds is not a diamond, it is a trump. And the six of clubs beats every ace on the table.
