Is tonight worth a look at the sky? Revontulet combines local aurora activity, cloud cover and darkness into one clear answer for your location. See the current conditions and why the app gives its verdict.
Explore a three-day outlook in three-hour steps and let the app pick the best moment of the night. Aurora alerts tell you when the lights are visible where you are. Selected dark places away from light pollution show their distance from you, and camera guidance suggests starting values for ISO, shutter speed and aperture. A home-screen widget keeps the latest reading close by.
The current verdict is free. Revontulet Pro unlocks alerts, the outlook, dark places and camera guidance – as a one-time purchase or a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period; manage them in your Apple account settings. Forecasts can change and an aurora sighting is never guaranteed. Data: NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center and MET Norway. App interface in 19 languages.
