Felt Shanghai
Mahjong solitaire on soft felt
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
A calm mahjong solitaire on green felt. Picture tiles, one shared daily table, and Extract instead of shuffle. No surprise ads, no account, no rush.
Felt Shanghai is mahjong solitaire the way it should feel: a quiet table, beautiful tiles, and nothing shouting at you.
Clear the felt by matching pairs of free tiles. A tile is free when nothing sits on top of it and at least one long side is open. Simple to learn, surprisingly deep to master.
PICTURE TILES, SAME RULES Pandas, dragons, phoenixes, tigers, temples, cranes and more, hand-drawn in a warm folklore style. They look special, but they're still just pairs: panda with panda, temple with temple.
EXTRACT INSTEAD OF SHUFFLE Stuck? Don't scramble the board. Extract lifts any tile, even a buried one, up beside the table so you can play its free match. Change your mind? Put it back and the Extract is refunded.
ONE SHARED DAILY TABLE Every day, everyone plays the same deal. Clear it to build your streak.
CHOOSE YOUR OWN DIFFICULTY Play the way you like, and switch anytime from the top of the table. The game remembers your pick.
Easy: a 36-tile pagoda for a quick coffee break
Medium: a 72-tile temple with a little more to think about
Hard: the classic 144-tile turtle, five layers deep
Daily: the shared 72-tile table of the day
BUILT TO BE CLEARED Each deal is built backwards from an empty table, so there's a way through. Undo freely, so one wrong move never ends your game.

Ratings & Reviews
Extract now reaches buried tiles. Tap a stack in Extract mode and every tile in it fans out, so you can see what's underneath and pick any one.
Also in this update:
- When no moves are left, a pop-up tells you and offers a new puzzle, an Extract, or Undo.
- Extract mode is easier to spot: the table glows, and a short note tells you what to do.
- Difficulty is now one simple menu, showing each board and its tile count.
- The layout fits smaller iPhones properly, with nothing cut off or overlapping.
