Plan a route on the map: times under sail from your boat's polar and the forecast, and under motor, with the tacks in colour, the forecast spread and a speed plot. It routes around land and shallows. Saved routes reach your boat and crew and work offline, and Onboard follows one with off-course cues and arrival. Onboard is now cards you swipe: instruments, timer, route and recorded. Stopping a sail asks for a name, then Keep or Discard. The start timer resets while paused, a boat's recorders share one device list, the map pans and follows the boat more smoothly, and boat icons have a straight stern. And many fixes.

Race info opens as a drawer, sessions open at the start with a cleaner player, and the Garmin start timer can be set from the watch.

Sessions are easier to scan, and the Apple Watch has new buttons and a start timer you set with the crown.
