BPM, Key and Loudness: Quint
Harmonic Mix and LUFS Targets
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Key, harmonic code, BPM and loudness, read on the phone through Music Understanding, the framework Apple shipped in iOS 27. No upload, no third party SDK.
Quint reads the key, the tempo and the loudness of a track, on your phone, with no account and no network.
Import a file you own, share one in from another app, or hold the phone to a speaker for twenty seconds. You get the key and its mode, the harmonic code from 1A to 12B, the BPM, how much of the track stays in that key, and the integrated loudness and true peak.
WHAT IT DOES
Find the key and BPM of a song you own.
Hold your phone to the speaker and read the key from the room.
Mix in key with harmonic codes from 1A to 12B.
Build a set that flows from track to track, inside the tempo window you choose.
Check loudness against streaming targets before you upload.
Keep a crate of every reading, sorted by key, code, tempo or loudness.
Post a card carrying the key, the code and the tempo.
WHAT IT WILL NOT DO
Apple Music streaming tracks are protected and cannot be analyzed. Quint works on files you own, on files shared into it, and on recordings you make with it.
There is no account, no sign in, and no networking code in the app at all. Nothing you analyze leaves your phone, and there is nothing to opt out of.
THE SYSTEM IS DOING THE WORK
The analysis is native. Quint reads the key, the mode, the tempo, the sections and the vocal lane through Music Understanding, the framework Apple shipped in iOS 27, running on this device. Loudness is measured by Quint's own engine, written to ITU-R BS.1770 and checked against the EBU Tech 3341 reference signals.
There is no third party SDK in this app, no model downloaded at first run, and no server behind any of it. Put the phone in airplane mode and every reading still works, because there was never anything to send. A track you are sitting on before release is read where it already is, and it stays there.
FOR DJS AND PRODUCERS
Harmonic codes use the 1A to 12B convention common to DJ software, and can be shown in the Traktor style d and m notation instead. Loudness is measured to ITU-R BS.1770 and compared against the published targets of the platforms you upload to, each one carrying the page it was read from and the date it was checked.
PRO
Key, mode, harmonic code, BPM, integrated loudness and true peak need no purchase. Pro adds the sections timeline, the vocal lane, the streaming targets table, sets, the unlimited crate and batch analysis.
Pro is offered monthly, yearly, or as a one time purchase. Prices are shown in your own currency on the purchase screen before you buy, and any introductory offer is stated there too. A subscription renews automatically unless it is turned off at least a day before the period ends, and it can be managed or cancelled in your Apple account settings at any time.
