Gitpad is a powerful desktop Git client for developers who manage more than one repository. Bring local projects and repositories from GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Gitea and self-hosted Git servers into one calm Mac workspace. ONE WORKSPACE FOR EVERY REPOSITORY Scan a folder to find repositories already on your Mac. Group projects in folders, add colorful hashtags and pin the ones you use most. Filter the whole workspace by repositories waiting to push, pull or commit, then push every ready repository together. COLLECT AND DISCOVER Save useful GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket repositories into Collections with your own notes. Browse Awesome Lists inside Gitpad and keep promising projects ready to inspect or clone later. REVIEW EVERY CHANGE Read clean unified or side-by-side diffs. Stage whole files, individual hunks or selected lines. Compare the index with your working tree and commit only what you intend. UNDERSTAND YOUR HISTORY Search commit titles and descriptions across every branch. Browse commits and inspect every changed file. Compare branch ancestry, ahead and behind counts, tags and releases before you switch, merge or publish. MOVE FAST ACROSS PROJECTS Fetch, pull or push one repository at a time or work across many projects from the overview. Gitpad reports progress, skips and failures clearly. Clone full history, choose a shallow or partial clone, and pause a large clone to resume it later. HANDLE THE REST OF GIT Create and inspect stashes made by Gitpad, Terminal or another Git tool. Manage worktrees, submodules, remotes and tags. Keep worktrees and nested submodules grouped under their parent repository in the sidebar, with clear labels showing which checkout you have open. Resolve text conflicts with both sides in view. CONNECT THE ACCOUNTS YOU USE Work with multiple GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Gitea accounts, including enterprise and self-hosted servers. Choose a different account for each repository or remote. Access tokens stay in the macOS Keychain, and workspace metadata is encrypted locally. PRIVATE FILES, SEPARATE FROM GIT Optional Sidecar, currently in beta, keeps selected local files beside your project without committing them to Git. Sync encrypted private files and snapshots across your own devices while the repository stays clean. MADE FOR YOUR MAC Use light or dark mode, choose a calm background color, resize panes, hide the sidebar for more code space, and open projects in your editor or Terminal. Gitpad uses the Git installation on your Mac. On first launch, choose the folder Gitpad may use for your repositories and Git configuration; additional project folders can be added in Settings. Gitpad is a one-time purchase. Core Git features do not require a Gitpad account or subscription. Sidecar access and storage are separately provisioned and are not included with the app purchase.
