Chess Academy: AI Coach
Learn why every move works
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
A coach that explains, in plain language, why each move is good or bad. Solve puzzles and learn the reasons. Ad-free with Premium.
Chess Academy doesn't just let you PLAY chess — it TEACHES it. After every move, it tells you what was right, what was wrong, and WHY, at a level that fits you.
How it works
• You make your move in a puzzle.
• A strong chess engine (Stockfish) decides, with 100% certainty, whether the move is correct.
• An AI explains that decision in clear, simple language — never harsh, always teaching.
Why it's different
• The engine decides, the AI explains: so the explanations come from real analysis, not guesswork.
• A path from easy to hard: start with how the pieces move, then forks, pins, and mating patterns.
• Invisible adaptive difficulty: your level quietly adjusts on every right or wrong answer, so you progress without getting bored.
• Premium is ad-free; in the free version, ads stay OUT of the learning screens.
• Solve offline: puzzles live on your device; only the AI explanation needs the internet.
Who it's for
Everyone aged 8 and up — from someone who just learned the moves to an experienced player sharpening tactics.
With Premium: an ad-free experience, unlimited explanations, more detailed coaching, and the ability to ask "why?".
Puzzle data is from the Lichess open database (CC0).
Premium is an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly). Payment is charged to your Apple Account at purchase confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.
