Nanobot Shift
Drag the crate. Clear the bay.
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
NANOBOT SHIFT is a freight bay packed wall to wall with data crates, and every one of them has to leave through the port that matches its color. The crates cannot move themselves. You can: put a finger on one and it lifts, drag it and it slides — up, down, sideways, round a corner — as far as the gridlock lets it. That is the whole input. One finger, one verb.
HOW IT PLAYS
Grab a crate and its port lights up on the wall. Haul it there, press it flush, and the port takes it a rank at a time while you line up the next one. Every crate is in some other crate's way, so the puzzle is order: what has to shift first so that its space comes back when you need it. Nothing on the board moves unless you move it, and nothing is racing you.
NO TIMER. NO SCORE. NO FAIL STATE.
Nothing counts down and nothing counts up. There are no lives, no streaks, no meters and no boosters. Undo rewinds as far back as you like, and a bay you have walked away from is exactly where you left it. Empty the bay, and the next one opens. That is the only rule about winning.
480 LEVELS, TWENTY WORLDS
Twenty-four bays a world. Clear half a world and the next one unlocks; every cleared bay stays on the shelf to replay. Each world introduces at most one new idea, on a board where that idea is the only hard thing on screen:
BOLTED PLATE — matte steel that never moves. No light means not yours.
RAILS — a crate that runs one way only, its track drawn on its face.
LATCHED PAIRS — two crates clamped together that haul as one, until one of them ships.
MIRRORED TWINS — sideways, the twin runs the other way. Up and down, they move together.
CUT BAYS — the bay stops being a rectangle: corners, waists, hoppers.
Then the remixes: the rail yard, the crush, the classic packed board with no mechanics at all, and an exam at the end of the line with every rule on one cut board.
ONE CARD PER RULE
The first time a rule reaches you, a card says what it does — on the board that shows it, playable underneath. Tap a bay on the shelf before you commit to it and a briefing shows its shape, its cast and its rules.
READABLE FOR EVERYONE
Eight kinds of crate, each a color chosen to stay apart from the others. Switch on glyphs in Settings and every crate face and every port wears its kind's mark as well, so the sort never rests on hue alone. Pick a crate up and its matching port breathes, whatever your settings.
EVERY BAY CAN BE CLEARED
Every level is solved before it ships, so world 12 level 7 is the same bay for everyone and none of them are broken.
CALM BY DESIGN
Built for short sessions: the train, the queue, one more bay before bed. Handcrafted retro-neon art, a soundtrack of its own, and configurable sound effects and haptics — the shipment you feel through the glass is weighted by the size of the crate.
DESIGNED FOR ONE-HANDED PLAY
Played in portrait. Big drag targets. Nothing to time.
FULLY OFFLINE
No accounts, no servers, no sign-in, no analytics. Play on a plane.
