Copy text, a web link or an image on your laptop, then use it on your desktop. Deskferry shares your current clipboard between trusted Macs over encrypted local connections. No Deskferry account required.
KEEP YOUR COPY-AND-PASTE WORKFLOW
Press Command-C on the source Mac, then Command-V in the destination app on another Mac in your group. Share text, links and clipboard images while Deskferry stays in your menu bar.
DISCOVER NEARBY MACS OR CONNECT BY ADDRESS
Use automatic local discovery, or enter an IP address or hostname to connect across reachable private LAN subnets. A six-digit code and administrator approval keep pairing under your control. Both Macs must support address connections to use that option.
MOVE FILES AND COMPLETE FOLDERS
Copy selected Finder files or folders and follow receiving progress. Once Deskferry confirms the content is received, verified and ready to paste, paste it into the destination folder on the other Mac. Folders containing .app applications transfer intact, without manual compression. The default total transfer limit is 100 MB and can be adjusted in Settings. History explains size-limit failures.
FIND AN EARLIER COPY
Search, filter and preview retained local history, then copy what you need again. History is encrypted and stored separately on each Mac; your history library is not shared with the group. Local history also works with just one Mac.
FREE FEATURES AND OPTIONAL UPGRADES
• Free: create a two-Mac group for text and clipboard-image sync. Fully view and copy your newest 20 local history entries across all types.
• Pro: add group file and video transfers, and remove the entry-count limit for full access to your personal history.
• Max: everything in Pro, plus group folder transfers.
The administrator's plan provides group transfer features; members do not need to repurchase those features for the same group. Each member's personal history entitlement is separate. History retention and storage settings still apply. Paid plans are available as optional auto-renewable subscriptions or one-time lifetime purchases.
Requires macOS 14 or later. Cross-Mac sync requires Deskferry on each Mac and a mutually reachable private network over Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
