See the film look before you shoot. Capture, develop and keep every frame in your own pocket-sized darkroom.
I lost a camera I loved. Not just a piece of gear — I lost the way it remembered life: warm light, visible grain and little imperfections that made an ordinary day feel worth keeping.
I searched every shelf, every bag and every familiar place. It never came back. For a while I thought the only answer was another film camera, but I could not afford one — and I did not want to carry an extra camera everywhere again.
Then I looked at the iPhone already in my hand. Instead of waiting until I could buy the camera I missed, I decided to build it. FRAME 36 began as my way to bring that film feeling back. Now it lets anyone create a personal preset, import a compatible 3D LUT shared by a friend and turn an ordinary moment into a photograph with character.
Choose a film look and see it live before pressing the shutter. Shoot with RETRO, GLOW, GRAIN, FILM or grainy B&W, then fine-tune tone, grain, sparkle and edges in the digital darkroom.
• Live film preview while shooting
• Front and rear cameras, flash and multiple frame formats
• Develop existing photos from your library
• Local FRAME 36 camera roll with sharing and deletion controls
• Start with 10 tokens and create personal film presets from a photo or a compatible 3D LUT shared by a friend

Your photos are processed on your device. FRAME 36 has no ads, subscriptions, accounts, advertising tracking or photo uploads. Optional consumable token packs are purchased through the App Store; Adapty processes anonymous purchase events for purchase validation and app functionality.
