EVERYDAY EXAMPLES • Before AI: text, an invoice or a document you want explained, with names, contact details and identifiers hidden when they are not needed for the answer • Parents’ group: a school report, permission form, or photo showing a name, address, or phone number • Association or club: a member list, registration form, supporting document, or receipt • Work: a screenshot, invoice, or client document before sending it to coworkers • Online selling and social media: a parcel label, face, license plate, or private detail in a photo YOU STAY IN CONTROL Chat Protège suggests personal information to hide in photos, PDFs, and text. Review and correct the copy, keeping anything that should remain visible. On photos and PDFs, add masks with your finger; for text, edit the copy directly. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Analysis happens on your iPhone. Chat Protège requires no account and does not upload your documents to a server operated by the app. A GENUINELY PROTECTED COPY Exported files are rebuilt, so covered text does not remain selectable beneath a visual mask. Photo metadata is removed from the copy, including GPS coordinates when present. You can inspect detected coordinates and optionally open them in Maps. This voluntary action sends the coordinates to Maps. Compare with the original without leaving the document. Crop a photo, add an opaque mask or blur, then choose where to send your copy. Prefer opaque masks over blur for highly sensitive information. Your original stays unchanged. Add a message to your photo or PDF, with text, emoji and line breaks. Reuse it when sharing the same copy elsewhere. Support for accompanying text depends on the receiving app; you can also copy the message. Messages are not automatically anonymized: review yours before sending. Automatic detection is an aid and cannot cover every case. Always review the preview before sending; manual redaction lets you protect anything else. Protect five items per calendar month for free. The allowance resets on the 1st, with no rollover of unused items. An item is counted when its first protected copy is created and verified. Corrections and resends are included while it stays open. Closing and reopening it starts a new use. Premium removes the monthly limit and supports Apple Family Sharing when enabled. Keep recurring information in “My remembered information”: edit, pause or remove it on this iPhone. You can also open selected text using the iOS Share button, without automatic clipboard access. Premium is an auto-renewable monthly or yearly subscription. The price and duration are shown before purchase. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings.
