Switchboard is default-browser routing that actually thinks. Most "browser picker" utilities do one thing: send every link to a single app. Switchboard does that too — but it can also route by URL, switch automatically based on what app you're using, target a specific Chrome or Edge profile, and pause or override any of it in one click from the menu bar. Match by domain, glob pattern, or full regex. • App-aware switching — the right browser follows the app you're using. Have Slack or Discord open? Automatically switch to the browser you use for work or gaming, then switch back the moment you quit. • Chrome & Edge profile support — not just "Chrome," but which Chrome. Route work links to your work profile and personal links to your personal one, automatically. • Timed switches — "Safari for the next hour," reverting on its own. Or tie a switch to an app staying open, with no timer needed. • Global hotkeys — cycle browsers or jump straight to one, from anywhere, without touching the menu bar. • Pause anytime — one click sends everything to your pinned browser and ignores every rule and trigger, until you turn it back on. • Back up your setup — export every rule, trigger, and setting to a file, and import it back on this Mac or another. Switchboard 1.0.1 • Chrome and Edge profile pinning now actually opens links in the pinned profile. Setup is a new Profiles tab in Settings with two one-time steps. Until it's set up, profile pins fall back to opening the browser normally, and the menu says so. • Setting Switchboard as your default browser now tells you when it didn't work, and why — including when a second copy of Switchboard on your Mac is the one macOS is actually using. • VoiceOver now announces the menu bar icon and the browser currently in effect. • Settings reorganized and streamlined.
