And it is built for using a collection, not just recording one. Scroll the covers through an image carousel. Keep every wishlist item in one place, ready for the day you are standing in the shop. And stop buying the same thing twice — Meibo tells you the moment you add something you already own.
WHAT IT DOES
Catalogue — Nine media types, with the form adapting to what actually matters for each one. A pressing has a catalogue number, a book has an ISBN, a comic has an issue range.
Browse — An image carousel of your covers rather than a list of titles, with an alphabet rail to jump straight to a letter. Tap a cover for everything you know about it.
Never buy it twice — Add or scan something you already own and Meibo says so, before you get home with it. It matches on the exact release, on the ISBN, and on title-and-creator, and it tells you which — so you know how sure it is.
Wishlist — What you are hunting for, kept in the same app as what you already have, so the duplicate check works against both. Filter it by media type depending on which shop you are standing in.
Find — Search titles and creators, then narrow by media type and by genre or kind, favourites only, or out on loan. Ten sort orders, with an alphabet rail down the side when you are sorted by title or creator.
Track — Condition on the Discogs eight-grade scale, what you paid and where you got it, shelf location, your rating and review, and a play history of what you engaged with and when.
Lend — Full loan history per item. Not just who has it now, but everyone who ever borrowed it and when they returned it.
Auto-fill — Scan a barcode or search by title, and pull details from Discogs, Google Books, TMDB and RAWG. Each of those services needs a free account of its own, which you set up and enter in Settings. The services suggest; you confirm. Comics and board games are entered by hand.
Decide — Ask it what to play. Pick a media type and roll, or narrow it down first by genre, by decade, or by how long it has been since you last put it on.
Own your data — Export the whole catalogue as plain CSV any time, with your photos as a separate archive. Cover art is cached on the device so the catalogue works with no signal.

YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
No Meibo account, no server, and no advertising.
Your catalogue, your photos and your notes are stored on your device and nowhere else. Nothing about your collection is sent anywhere, because there is nowhere to send it.
The auto-fill look-ups are the one time Meibo talks to the internet, and only when you ask it to. Each service needs its own free key, which you obtain yourself and enter in Settings — so the request goes from your phone to that service, using your key. Everything else in the app works with no keys at all: adding items by hand, search, the wishlist, loans, play history, export and restore.
