Still haven't started? From 1 hour before, the distracting apps you chose lock. They open again when you show it's done. FOUR KINDS OF TASKS • Quick task — meds, transfers, replies. Things that take a minute. • Focus task — assignments, reports. Distracting apps stay locked while you focus. • Destination — somewhere you have to go. Still where you started after it's time to leave? Apps lock. • Payment — rent, bills, subscriptions. PROOF, NOT A BUTTON • Photo — take a photo of the same thing as your reference photo. Photos never leave your device. • Place — arrive, and it's done. • Timer — stay focused for the set time. • Typing — type the set sentence (twice a week; Payment tasks don't count). • Barcode — scan a barcode you saved, in daily routines. TWO LOCK METHODS • Choose apps to lock — only those apps lock. • Choose apps to allow — only those apps open. Phone and Messages always open. Add camera, banking, payment and messaging apps to your allowed apps. DAILY ROUTINES (PREMIUM) Give it a name, pick the days and a time — "Work out", "Take meds" — and the task shows up on its own. Apps lock at that time. Verify to finish the day's routine. CHECK-IN "What must you get done today?" MissBlock asks at the times you set, 1 to 4 times a day. If you've already added a task, it doesn't ask. ONE LINE TO ADD Type "Report by 3 PM tomorrow" and MissBlock reads the date and time. ONCE A TASK IS LOCKED A locked task can't be deleted. It ends when you verify it. The only other way out is Emergency mode: type the task name 20 times (no pasting). Each use in the same month adds 20 more. It resets on the 1st. Subscribing doesn't make Emergency mode easier. SCREEN TIME ACCESS MissBlock uses Apple's Screen Time permission (Family Controls) to lock the apps you choose. iOS keeps your app selection on your device, so MissBlock never sees the app names. You can turn the permission off in iOS Settings. Turning it off while a task is locked counts as one Emergency mode use.
