LIVE TRIP
The app records your trip, even with the screen locked: speed, course, distance and the Moselle km, plus the next lock with its VHF channel and phone number and the next bridge with its clearance. The map follows the boat like a chart plotter. Spots worth remembering — the quiet anchorage, the shallow, the fuel dock — you mark with a long press. Everything stays on your device; trips export as GPX.
LOCK PLANNER
Enter start, destination, departure and speed — the app tells you when you reach each lock, whether the boat lock is open then, and whether you arrive before sunset. If not: the latest time to leave.
LIVE FROM SKIPPERS
Like Waze, for the Moselle: waiting at a lock? Report the wait with one tap. Floating debris, a tree trunk in the fairway, a boat lock out of service, a full harbour — everyone sees it at once, on the map and in the planner. The app warns you before you reach a reported hazard. Anonymous, no account.
GO OUT TODAY?
A traffic light for the day: wind, gusts, visibility, rain and water level for eight places between Schengen and Cochem, rated for your boat type. Plus the current notices to skippers (ELWIS) around your place — closures, locks out of service, works.
RADIO
Describe what's going on in your own words — "out of fuel near Trier" — and the app builds the complete radio call following the inland radiotelephony handbook, in German, French or English. It can read it aloud slowly so you can hold the phone to the VHF. With all Moselle VHF channels, locks and their channels, the distress procedure, standard phrases, the phonetic alphabet and an exam trainer for CORVNI/SRC. Fully offline.
LISTINGS
Boats, rentals, berths and wanted ads from nautic.lu, for browsing. Posting and contact happen on the website — free, no account.
NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS
The app needs no sign-up and shows no ads. Your trip stays on your device. Only what you report yourself is sent — anonymously. What it fetches online: weather from Open-Meteo, water levels from PegelOnline, notices and listings from nautic.lu.
The app is guidance, not clearance. The responsibility stays with the skipper.
