Make more of your time on the water with a fishing journal and rod movement alerts. RodPod uses motion from a compatible AirPod secured to your fishing rod. Choose either AirPod, follow the setup guide, and watch the movement test start automatically. Continue as soon as movement is verified. No narration is needed. RECORD AND REVIEW YOUR OUTING • Watch estimated casts, cast intensity and rod movement update during a session. • See your session results automatically when you finish fishing. • Explore your saved cast and technique timelines afterward. • Review experimental suggestions for linear retrieve, jigging and stop-and-go. • Browse saved trips and activity over time. • Delete an outing and its saved files whenever you choose. REST YOUR ROD. GET MOVEMENT ALERTS. Switch to Rod alerts when your rod is resting. Use the 0–100 sensitivity slider and one-step controls to tune the response. Lower values ignore smaller movements from wind or water. Your setting is saved and can be adjusted while monitoring. Test the sound before starting. Movements above your selected sensitivity can play short sounds through your current audio output, including connected AirPods. Continued movement keeps sounding. Phone notifications depend on your notification and Focus settings. Wind, water, the line and handling can all cause movement; an alert does not identify a bite. Rod alerts and fishing recording run separately. Alert mode keeps recent movements for the current monitoring session; it does not save a fishing trip. WITH YOUR PHONE LOCKED Live Activities show estimated casts, elapsed time and recent status on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island on supported iPhones. Rod alerts show their monitoring status and recent activity. Check the latest update; the display does not guarantee the sensor is still connected. Fishing and rod alerts support background use while RodPod keeps an active microphone connection. Microphone permission and the orange iOS indicator are expected. Normal fishing and alerts immediately discard audio: it is never saved, transcribed or uploaded. Calls, disconnections or iOS interruptions can stop monitoring; check the connection before relying on it. YOUR JOURNAL, ON YOUR IPHONE Normal fishing saves compact results after processing. No personal account is required. Optional Intelligent Highlights selects from measured trip facts on supported devices with Apple Intelligence enabled. FREE AND RODPOD PRO Record or monitor for up to 10 minutes per session for free. Every new session starts with a fresh allowance. RodPod Pro is an optional annual subscription that removes the duration limit for fishing and rod alerts. Pricing is shown in the app for your App Store region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically until canceled; manage or cancel it in App Store subscription settings. Saved trips remain available on either plan.
