Wait, what ISO? HP5 at 3200? Bold. Unhinged. Box Speed keeps track of your film rolls. Are you tired of film rolls covering your shelves? Do they pile up in the corners, on your bed, on your pillow, on your wife's pillow? Is her head now a film roll? Box Speed fixes that, so you can shove them in a drawer and hoard and treasure them like a sane person. Built by a film shooter, for film shooters. Every roll gets a strip of masking tape. Pick the camera, the lenses you own, the film you've been hoarding, and the SPEED you want to shoot: HP5 400 @ 1600. (I know, I know. Unless you're in an underground bunker tonight, just shoot it at box.) Then write on it the way you would with a Sharpie. Push it two stops and the tape says so, and so does the reminder to set the dial. When the roll's finished, it goes on the shelf. Track it as you send it to the lab. When it's back, it lands in dailies. Keep your notes here, there and everywhere. Every roll keeps its tape the whole way. It also gets a roll number to write on the canister, a photo of the roll if you want one, and a journal for the light leak you'll want to remember. Tear tape and write the roll: camera, lenses, film, speed Box speed is the default; a push or a pull is the thing worth writing down A reminder to set the dial before you shoot Snap the roll: a photo of your real canister as its label (keep your Sharpie around: write on it, then snap it) Roll numbers (A001) for the canister and the lab The shelf, the lab and dailies, or file a roll away when it's done Save a copy of everything, or share a plain-text log of every roll No account. No server. No tracking. Your rolls never leave your phone. The first three strips of tape are free. After that, The Endless Rack is a one-time purchase. There's no subscription, and nothing you've written is ever locked.

Box Speed is now on your home screen. Three widgets: One Roll shows what’s in a camera right now, Three Rolls shows three cameras side by side, and The Shelf shows every camera with a roll in it. Long-press a widget to point it at a camera. If you snapped the roll, the snap sits in the widget. There’s one for the lock screen too, under the clock. Tap any of them and the app opens on that camera. Set a reminder on any roll and Box Speed tells you what to set the dial to before you shoot. Pushed HP5 to 1600 last night? It’ll remind you, and it’ll tell you it’s +2.
