Signing in with your shop: beside the four character code there is now a second way in. Enter the username and password your shop gave you and your subscription is on within seconds. You are never asked for a server address. Downloads: keep films and episodes on the device, a page of its own for everything kept, a whole season in one press, and a mark on an episode that is already there. Search with the keyboard your phone already has. A provider that is merely shutting us out is no longer reported as down, and the warning goes as soon as it is back.

Episodes can now be kept one at a time. Every episode has its own download button beside it, so keeping one for the journey no longer means keeping the whole series. The season button now keeps only the season you chose. Before, if no season had been tapped yet, it took the whole series with it. On an iPhone held sideways the Shop button on the sign-in screen had been pushed off the edge. It is back.

Watch without a connection, on iPhone and iPad • Save films and episodes on the device and watch them with no line at all, on a journey, on a plane, or anywhere the network does not reach. • Save a whole season with one press. • A page of its own for what is saved: free space, progress, pause, carry on, delete. The poster is kept beside the film, so the page still looks like itself with no connection. • A title interrupted by a lost connection carries on from where it stopped. Signing in through your shop • Your shop gives you a number. You type it once on the television, see their logo, and the device shows four characters. You read those to them and your playlist is on within seconds. No username, no password, no address to type. Other improvements • Seeking inside a film now lands in under a second. • On the phone: the tools as a tile grid, the language in one press, device codes copied with one press. • Folders as cards in the rail, five posters to a row on the phone. • The notice that the provider could not be reached now goes by itself as soon as the provider answers again.

Seeking in films and episodes: skipping forward or back now resumes in under a second, even across a quarter of an hour. Series: when an episode ends the next one follows on its own, across seasons too, in full screen with the ten-second card. The page remembers the running episode, and the series picture takes focus again. Phone as remote: keys respond on touch, repeat while held, and commands reach the television at once. Volume and channel as rocker keys. iPhone: the home screen tools as tiles, the language switches with one press, device number and key copy with one press. Library folders as cards, five posters to a row.
