Ghost Detector is an SLS camera that shows its work. It runs a real human pose model on the live feed, draws a skeleton over anything human-shaped it finds, and burns the readings into the shot. WHAT IT ACTUALLY DOES This is a human pose detector — the same class of model that powers fitness and motion-capture apps. It finds human-shaped arrangements of features and reports how confident it is, joint by joint. Point it at an empty room and it will occasionally lock onto a coat rack, a shadow, a fold in a curtain. That false positive is the experience. We say so plainly, because the alternative is a lie and this is more interesting than the lie. Ghost Detector makes no claim to detect anything supernatural. A REAL DETECTOR, NOT AN ANIMATION A lot of apps in this category draw a skeleton on a timer. Ghost Detector does not. If a skeleton appears, the model produced it from the pixels in front of the lens — seventeen joints, each with its own confidence, up to ten times a second. The FORM percentage on screen is the model's own number, unfiltered. Turn the threshold down and watch it start seeing people in the furniture; turn it up and it goes quiet. Nothing is ever fabricated. Three on-device models do the looking: one for a body's seventeen joints, one that counts the people in view so a group is not merged into a single figure, and one that finds a face when it fills the frame. READINGS BURNED IN Live EMF from the magnetometer, motion, rotation, and a combined energy figure, in the corner of every shot. The magnetometer genuinely measures magnetic field, so the EMF number moves when you walk past wiring or a speaker. It is a real reading, not a prop. WORDS IN 30 LANGUAGES Optional: a word surfaces over the feed every 10 to 20 seconds, drawn from a hand-built vocabulary in any of thirty languages — over 100,000 possible outputs each, so no two sessions repeat. English, German, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Hungarian, Greek, Czech, Polish, Croatian, Romanian, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. BUILT FOR THE CLIP 9:16 by default, with a guide showing exactly what a vertical crop will keep. Thermal, night-vision and CRT looks. Photos and videos come out with the skeleton and the readings composited into the pixels: a photo at full resolution the moment you take it, a video on the device a few seconds after you stop recording. REVIEW WHAT HAPPENED Every recording is saved with a session log: what the detector saw and when, every word that surfaced, every reading. The gallery lists the strongest locks in a clip so you can jump straight to them instead of rewatching. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO No face recognition, and no identification of anyone, ever: it can find where a face is, never whose it is. No cloud, no accounts, no analytics, no uploads. Everything runs on this device. Your captures leave your phone only when you hand one to the share sheet. PERMISSIONS, PLAINLY Camera, because it is a camera app. Microphone, only so recorded video keeps its sound — switch sound off in Settings and no microphone is opened. Photo library, only when you choose to save a capture to it. Ghost Detector is for entertainment. It detects human-shaped forms and nothing else.
