Know where the light will be: golden and blue hour over the real mountains, a sunset colour forecast and the best Milky Way nights. Pro is one-time, no subscription. Know where the light will be. Duskbox shows when and where the sun, the moon and the Milky Way rise and set behind the real mountains, not over a flat textbook horizon, and whether the sky is likely to light up. Made for landscape and night photographers who plan the shot before they leave home. PLAN THE LIGHT • Golden hour and blue hour to the minute, for any place and date, with the sun's direction on the map • The real horizon, from terrain data: know when the sun actually drops behind the ridge • Sky-colour forecast: a 0–100 score for sunrise and sunset that reads the clouds layer by layer, overhead and for 300 km towards the sun, up to 3 days ahead • View from the spot: a 2.5D preview of the ridges and named summits from where you will stand, with the sun or moon's path drawn over them • Alignment: pick a peak, a tower or a lighthouse and find the day the sun or moon lines up behind it, and where to stand • AR Sky Planner: point your phone at the horizon and see where the sun, the moon and the Milky Way core will travel • Scout: the best chances in the days ahead (a sunset that could light up, a clear moonless night, an aurora, an ISS pass), each with the reason it's worth going THE NIGHT SKY • Astro nights: a score for every night for the Milky Way, deep sky and the Moon, with meteor showers, eclipses, aurora forecasts and visible ISS passes • Star exposure: the longest shutter before stars turn into dashes, for your camera, lens and aperture (NPF rule, more accurate than the old 500 rule) • Star trails: which night, how much arc, how many frames • Timelapse: interval, length and the falling light from sunset to dark • Milky Way panorama: how many overlapping frames a sweep takes MOMENTS AND AGENDA • Save every shoot idea as a moment, with place, time, light, notes and photos • Your upcoming moments in one agenda, with reminders before the light • Send a shoot to your calendar in one tap • Daily golden-hour alerts that can follow you when you travel CLASSICS, RAINBOWS AND TIDES • Classics: famous sun and moon alignments like Manhattanhenge or the solstice sunrise at Newgrange, with the next dates • Rainbow: whether one is possible, where to stand and which way to look • Tides: times and heights next to the day's light (for photography, not for navigation) WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL • Download a country's terrain once and keep the map of your spot: when the bars drop to zero, the real horizon and the map are still there FIELD CALCULATORS Depth of field, field of view, ND filter, exposure equivalents, focus stacking and shadow length. Save your cameras and lenses once and every tool uses them. FREE AND PRO Free: golden and blue hour with the real horizon and the sky-colour forecast, moments, agenda and reminders, offline maps and terrain, the Classics catalogue, tide times, depth of field, exposure equivalents and shadow length. Duskbox Pro is a one-time in-app purchase, never a subscription. It unlocks Scout, View from the spot, AR Sky Planner, Alignment, Astro nights, Star exposure, Star trails, Timelapse, Milky Way panorama, Rainbow, ND filter, Field of view and Focus stacking, the Pro parts of Tides and Classics, and backup and sync across your devices through your own iCloud or Google Drive. PRIVACY No account, no ads, no tracking. Your moments, photos and notes stay on your iPhone, and in your own iCloud or Google Drive only if you turn on sync. Your location is used to work out the light, and is shared only with the weather and map services that answer for that place.
