Free, ad-free notes and drawing for iPad.
Start with 10 drawings to continue, textured pencils, PDF markup, 15 paper styles, and timelapse videos.
Penumi is a free, lightweight iPad app for handwritten notes and drawing with Apple Pencil.
From class notes and PDF markup to free-form sketches, it makes writing and drawing feel simple.
Start with a drawing when a blank page feels daunting.
Open one of 10 portraits, landscapes, animals, and more as a new notebook from your library. The examples use real Penumi pencil strokes, so you can add your own marks and undo individual strokes just after opening an example.
See how each example takes shape.
Watch a 30-second process video for each of the 10 studies, then open a new copy to make it your own. From outlines to shading, every video is available offline.
Turn your drawing into a timelapse.
Preview it in the app, then save or share an MP4 up to 60 seconds.
Replay uses available strokes and recent edit history; some earlier edits may appear in the starting image.
Write and draw with responsive pens and textured graphite.
Choose familiar paper pages or an infinite canvas, then organize ideas with layers, colors, images, and editable text.
