Loge Pro Server turns the Mac with your film drive into a home cinema server. It reads the films and series on the drive, adds posters and descriptions, and makes the library available to Loge Pro on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad in your home network. Free, no account, nothing in the cloud.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Connect the drive with your films and choose it in Loge Pro Server.
2. Loge reads the films once and adds posters and descriptions.
3. Open Loge Pro on Apple TV, iPhone or iPad. The library shows up by itself.
WHAT YOUR MAC DOES
• Plays almost everything: MKV, AVI, DTS and TrueHD audio. Files are prepared on the fly; where the hardware can decode the picture, it is passed through unchanged.
• Finds the intro of a series so you can skip it.
• Subtitles in your language, from the file or online from OpenSubtitles, with no setup needed.
• Resume on any device: start on the TV, finish on the iPad.
• Add more: a second drive, a NAS or a folder from another Mac.
• The library travels with the drive. Connect it to another Mac and everything is there, without rescanning.
• Wrong poster? Pick the right film or series.
• Browse and play the library on the Mac as well.
RUNS QUIETLY
If you like, Loge Pro Server opens at login and stays in the menu bar. Your films stay where they are: Loge only adds a ".loge" folder with the catalog, posters and watch progress.
PRIVATE
No sign-up, no tracking, no ads. Nothing is sent to us.
REQUIREMENTS
macOS 14 or later, and Loge Pro on Apple TV, iPhone or iPad (14-day free trial, then a one-time purchase). The Mac needs to be on while you watch.
Film posters and descriptions come from The Movie Database (free account required), series data from TVmaze. This product uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDb.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
• Posters, descriptions and episode titles now arrive by themselves, also for episodes you add later.
• New files on the drive appear within about a minute. The refresh arrow checks right away.
• Add a folder from another Mac at home: with Loge Pro Server installed there, or simply through file sharing.
• Your own pictures as posters: images next to your films can be used, first or as a fallback. In “Correct match” you can pick any picture from the folder.
• Previews while scrubbing on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad.
• Hide titles behind a PIN.
• “Show in Finder” in the right-click menu.
• Subtitles from the internet without a key of your own.
• Settings sorted like on Apple TV.
