• Hints now go step by step: first the topic of the word, then another clue, then the first letter. • A1 and A2 words are read with pre-generated pronunciation recordings; a word you find is read right away, and the sound button on the puzzle screen turns it off. • Review is now Study: complete the sentence, listen and type, new-word cards, and a "why today?" line on each card. • A word found with help no longer counts as "known" and comes back sooner. • Example sentence and definition on the back of the word card. • 1,250 puzzles, 3,942 words. New in WordKare 1.3: • Level C1 · Academic: the vocabulary core shared by IELTS, TOEFL, YDS and YÖKDİL. C1 puzzles use a 9×9 grid with words up to nine letters. • Five levels now, A1 to C1, in more than 1890 crosswords, and a new badge when you reach C1. • Your streak is now a chain of tiles: each day adds a tile with the first letter of a word you solved. A bridge tile covers a day you miss. • Your word list shows each word's level, and you can filter by level. • Long clues are now easy to read on iPhone. • C1 needs a larger screen, so it stays closed on small phones such as the iPhone SE.

WordKare now speaks English and Spanish. The app follows your phone's language, and you can change it in Settings. We also improved the iPad layout and fixed some word details.
