WordTwist is a word game built on the fill-in crossword. The grid arrives empty and the words arrive in a tray. Your job is to work out where each one belongs.
No clues to decipher. No timer bearing down on you. Just a lattice of crossing slots and a handful of words that fit exactly one way.
WORLDS TO WORK THROUGH
Every world is a small themed collection with its own vocabulary and its own color. Clover Fields, with clover and brooks and a lark somewhere overhead. Rocky Shore, with kelp and the things that live in it. Observatory, Bakehouse, Cider Grove, Dinosaur Valley. Clover Fields and Rocky Shore are free.
Each world holds four tiers:
- Easy: a 7x8 grid, 8 words, two of them already placed
- Medium: 9x10, 12 words, one placed
- Hard: 11x14, 22 words, none placed at all
- Expert: a dense 11x11 where every letter belongs to two words at once
Every tier opens at its first puzzle. If the easy boards bore you, start on Expert. Nothing has to be earned before you are allowed to try it.
A NEW PUZZLE EVERY DAY
Four fresh boards each morning, one per tier, themed to the month. Today and the two days before it are free for everyone, every tier included, so missing a morning costs you nothing. Finish them for a bonus and keep your streak going.
SEASONS THAT COME AND GO
Haunted Hollow in October. Winter Village when the snow falls. Valentine, Easter, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Harvest Feast, Christmas. Each one is free to play while its season is open, Expert boards aside, and each scores double for as long as it lasts. Once the season closes it becomes a $0.99 world, or part of the Everything Pass, and a fresh edition returns the following year.
